Young, Waldemar

Waldemar Young

July 1, 1880 - August 30, 1938
Waldemar Young, a grandson of Brigham Young, is best known for his cinematic writing work, having written more than 80 screenplays in a career that saw him collaborate with Cecil B. De Mille, Lon Chaney, Joan Crawford, Gary Cooper, Claudette Colbert, and Myrna Loy among other stars of the early silver screen.  His inclusion in The Camelot Project is due to his stage writing, however--specifically a lesser-known play, Birds of Rhiannon: A Grove Play.
