Hammatt Billings
1818 - 1874
Billings was an artist and an architect from the Boston area. Best known for being the artist responsible for the illustrations in Uncle Tom's Cabin, Billings also provided illustrations for an 1872 edition of Alfred Tennyson's The Last Tournament.
