Dorigen's Promise
by: Suky Best (Author)
Additional Information:
This volume is a retelling of the Franklin's Tale primarily through photographs. The text appears in one or two short lines on each page, and the majority of the page is a photo collage, often made up of disjointed facial features. (One page, for example, features three images of Dorigen's lips, each image separated from the others by a white border.) Several pages feature a landscape image; there is a full-page image of the coastline, for example, and the tale ends with a pink and orange sunset. This modernization is a unique reimagining of the Franklin's narrative.
