¶ Rex seculorum et Domine dominator qui me, creasti dona mihi veram
memoriam, veram penitenciam, et veram confessionem quam me oporteat et que
tibi placeat. Da mihi, Domine Iesu Nazerene, veram cordis compunctionem et
fontem lacrimarum quibus peccatorum meorum dissolvere vinculam; et
misericordiam, tuam que mihi ad perseveranciam boni operis perducat nunc et in
evum. Amen.
¶ King of the ages and Lord overlord who created me, grant me true memory, true
penance, and true confession as behooves me and which pleases you. Grant me,
Lord Jesus of Nazareth, true remorse of the heart and a fountain of tears with
which to undo the bonds of my sins; and grant me your mercy, to lead me through
to persistence in good work now and forever. Amen.
