Binder's decorations are black line drawings, highlighted with red, interspersed throughout this version of the Wife of Bath's Prologue and Tale.  These sixteen images are always presentations of characters, including the Wife of Bath and several of her husbands, the loathly old wife, the knight, and others.  As the image on the title page suggests, these are rounded, somewhat stylized figures.
